Welcome to New Court Surgery

How can we help you today?

From July 7th we will be moving over to a total online triage system as part of NHS England’s ‘Modernising General Practice’ plan, as many other local surgeries have already done.

This means to request an appointment you need to fill in an online triage form by clicking the "Submit an Online Form" button on this website. Your request will then be reviewed within 24 hours. This allows GP’s to clinically assess, prioritise and allocate the clinical demand of the practice to the most efficient and effective resource in a timely manner.

Please be aware, online medical requests will be open Monday to Friday from 8am up until we reach a safe capacity.

If you are unable to submit a request online do not worry! Our telephone lines are still open and our Care Navigators will be able to support you through filling in the form, or fill out a form on your behalf.

Where possible, patients will be encouraged to use our online form as early as possible in the day to allow our clinicians to deal with requests in a timely way.

For Doctors appointments: click on the "Submit an Online Form" button then "I have a health problem"

For Nurses appointments: Phone us as normal, or you can also use the online form and selecting ‘Admin request’

For repeat prescriptions: Click the ‘‘Order a prescription’’ button then select whether to order through the NHS app or by using the online form

For repeat sicknotes: Click the ‘‘request a sick/fit note’’ and select ‘‘I have an admin request’

Total Triage System - July 7th 2025

Q&A - Total Triage

  • Will it be possible to use the new system on my phone?

It can be accessed via the internet browser on your phone, tablet, laptop and PC, as well as via the NHS App.

  • How do I use the new system?

It will be available via the “Submit an Online Form” button on the home page of our website. It is not necessary to register anywhere. Patients who are registered to use the NHS App have access to the new system by clicking the ‘‘Services’’ option at the bottom of the screen, then “Contact your GP about a health problem’’. Alongside a full range of medical record functionality (blood test results, ordering prescriptions and medical record view etc) in addition to online forms.

  • Will there be someone at the surgery able to show me how to use the system?

Yes, Our staff can explain how to access and use the system. However, we would be grateful if you could avoid asking clinical staff to demonstrate the system during an appointment, as this may delay them seeing their next patient.

  • Can reception make me an appointment with the GP?

Admin staff will no longer be able to book a doctor’s appointment.  The triaging GP will review and action your triage. If an appointment is needed, the triage GP will make that decision.

  • Can I still turn up in person to make an appointment?

Yes, on arrival the receptionist will advise you to complete a form, which will then be processed in the same way as those received online. This may involve the need to discuss personal information. Arriving in person to book will not mean your request is dealt with any sooner.

  • How long will it take to hear from the practice?

For all medical issues the practice will review your triage the same day and offer you an appointment within an appropriate time scale. If you have not heard back on the 3rd working day, please call the surgery. If your query becomes urgent please call the surgery.

  • Can I request to see a particular Doctor?

Yes you can. When submitting your triage, please state which GP you would like to see. We will try to meet your expectations, but please note, this is not always guaranteed (Subject to availability)
